Sadly we regret to announce that Chris Eaves-Maile passed away on Saturday 25th June. Many members will be aware that Chris has battled kidney disease for a number of years now and that, together with a number of other factors, caused his health to fail.

Chris was 71 and joined Hertford Bowls Club in 2008. The club was a major source of support and pleasure in his final years. 

He was a reasonably accomplished bowler and the highlight of his membership of the club was his winning the Mixed Pairs with Jane Harding  against  Anne Hudson and Jim Smith.

Chris will be sadly missed for his dry sense of humour occasionally misunderstood by a few.
