Hertford Bowls Club ladies entered two teams into the Thomas the Tank Engine themed Charity Gala held by EHDWBA and hosted by Ware Bowls Club on Thursday 21st July 2016.

Format for the day was 4 sessions played by each team. Each session was 6 ends or 40 minutes with the winners earning 10 points (5 each for a draw) and each team gaining a point for a winning end with 3 points conceded for a lost jack

Team Emily consisting of Karen, Ros, Sylvia, and Maureen finshed a very creditable 9th of 16 teams entered with Team Toby, consisting of Eileen, Jane, Sheila and June Addy finished 12th.

HBC Ladies would very much like to thank both Ware Bowls Club and the EHDWBA for hosting a thoroughly enjoyable day in support of Pancreatic Cancer.
