Each year we hold pre-season Welcome Days, which are open to anyone interested in trying out the game or just meeting with present Club Members and getting to know what makes us tick! The dates for 2015 were Sunday 17th and Sunday 31st May, both from midday to 4 pm.

The game of Lawn Bowls is not particularly strenuous and you can play as much or as little as you like; competitive or just friendlies, all options are open to every member of the Club.

We have two qualified coaches within the Club and Jim and Pam are more than willing to give guidance and instruction on how to play the game and will provide good information on the etiquette of the game.

Each year we hold a pre-season Meeting of all Club Members at our Clubhouse. This is the annual event before the start of the season when members meet and pay their annual subscription and confirm their participation in the Club Competitions, which will run throughout the summer season.

This same meeting will welcome any new members who have been in touch with us during the winter and need to understand more fully what is entailed in being a member of Hertford Bowls Club.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player YOU WILL BE WELCOME.
